Find Your Purpose: How Your 'Why' Fuels Sales Growth and Fulfillment

1/23/2025

Why Your "Why" Matters: The Key to Sales Success in 2025
David Sandler, the founder of our company, taught that success isn’t just about hitting quotas or closing deals; it’s also about adapting to challenges, growing personally and professionally, and finding fulfillment in your work. This multi-dimensional understanding of success is worth examining closely in the month of January, as we launch a new year, set new goals, and face new challenges. And that means stepping back and taking the time to ask ourselves an important question: Why do we do what we do each working day?

Reflection and Planning: Setting the Stage for Growth

1/23/2025

Picture
By Laura Crothers, Crothers Consulting
As we step into a new year, there’s something powerful about taking a moment to pause and reflect. In the rush of daily tasks and deadlines, it’s easy to keep moving forward without stopping to take stock of where we’ve been. But I’ve found that the most meaningful growth—both for individuals and organizations—happens when we take the time to reflect on the past and thoughtfully plan.

By John Allen Mollenhauer “JAM, Creator of Performance Lifestyle, founder of Regenus Center and The Charging Stations NJ
As we enter the second month of 2025, the pace of life continues to accelerate, placing immense demands on our time, energy, and focus. Success today isn’t just about working hard, it’s about working and living smarter. Revitalizing, basically being proactive about recharging your body, and managing your energy like a pro is no longer optional; it’s essential. As a fellow Morris County Chamber of Commerce member, I know that our community is filled with ambitious individuals and businesses striving to make an impact. But even the most driven among us can struggle with one critical element: maintaining the energy needed to thrive professionally and personally.

In the Health and Wellness forum we talk a lot about health challenges. One of the biggest challenges is where to begin. If you're feeling unsure about where to start, you're not alone. Many people struggle with taking that first step when it comes to exercise. But what if you could start small and gradually build your way up to walking 3 miles in under an hour?

Whether you’re obsessed with TikTok, post there regularly, or have never even opened the app, one thing’s for sure: this could impact your business. Maybe you’re thinking, “I’m not on TikTok, so why should I care?” Here’s the deal: What happens to a platform as big as TikTok sends shockwaves through the digital space. Sales Leaders: Align, Model and Master the Process

12/18/2024

Picture
By Cal Thomas, Sandler Morristown
David Sandler patterned his selling system as a tool for both sales and leadership. In fact, his system is where the disciplines of sales and leadership converge. Effective sales leaders don’t just understand Sandler’s seven-step process; they model it for their team as a daily working reality. They know each step of the Sandler system must be handled in the proper order for the prospect and salesperson to move through the sales process together. And not only that: they know the seller’s relationship with the buyer operates in parallel with the sales leader’s relationship with the members of the sales team.

Mastering Business Continuity: 4 Essential Steps

11/27/2024

Picture
By Gennifer Biggs, Exigent Technologies
The statistics are clear: When a major disruption impacts an organization, 40% of small businesses never reopen, and an additional 25% that manage to reopen end up failing within the year. That means safeguarding your company against disruptions is not merely a matter of choice; it's a strategic imperative. While backup and disaster recovery (BDR) solutions are vital components, they represent only a segment of the broader framework known as business continuity planning (BCP).

Understanding the current health of your finances starts with having a solid plan in place, but it depends on following the plan so you stay on track and continue working toward your financial goals. That’s where a financial wellness check can be useful. It can help you make sure you’re hitting the right milestones in your plan — and also help you check that your plan is working for you. Where to start?

How Well Do You Know the Four Learning Styles of Buyers?

11/21/2024

By Cal Thomas, Sandler Morristown
Have you ever noticed how some prospects engage with you instantly, and with complete attention, when you cite verifiable facts and figures … while other prospects remain totally unmoved by the same hard data? Some people will closely evaluate the data you share, ask how it was verified, and (if they like your answer) feel right at home in the discussion. Others, though, are more likely to need hands-on demonstrations …. step-by-step explanations … or in-depth discussions before they feel comfortable making any decision.  Just as students in a classroom have different ways of learning, buyers have diverse learning and decision-making styles. There are four main styles for salespeople to understand. Understanding them and catering to them can dramatically influence your ability to tailor your messaging – and secure the commitments that support your sales process.

Gratitude: A Tool to Improve Your Life

11/21/2024

November offers time to pause before the last month of the year. A month to focus on giving thanks. Gratitude, which in my professional and personal opinion, is the most life changing, positivity-bringing, easiest way of immediately improving your life. It requires no money, no material possessions, no formal education, no political perspective.  It's free and only improves your life in many ways - physically, mentally, socially, professionally, romantically, creatively…

From Helicopters to High Performance: A Full-Circle Moment with Tony Robbins

11/21/2024

Picture
By John Allen Mollenhauer “JAM” Founder, Performance Lifestyle® Inc, the Regenus Center.
Tuesday, November 12, 2024, started like any other—until I got a call from a woman who needed urgent help. Her boss, preparing for a major four-day event, wasn’t feeling his best after a demanding trip and was required to access a recovery solution at the Regenus Center. He was serious enough to plan to divert his helicopter to the local airport.

She emphasized how important it was to have him in top shape--I would later find out he was about to lead thousands of people through one of the most intense transformational experiences in the world. But when logistics at the airport didn’t work out, she asked if I could bring the equipment to his Manhattan apartment instead.

Though I had a full plate running the Regenus Center, something about the ask stuck with me. The meeting might be meaningful if this person was willing to divert a helicopter for recovery. I said yes.
The next day, I arrived at an exclusive hotel, passed multiple security points, and was escorted to the penthouse, still not knowing who I would be serving. As I entered, I immediately recognized the man who would greet me:

Tony Robbins—the global icon of transformation, peak performance, and personal power—was preparing for his Unleash the Power Within event at the Prudential Center in Newark, NJ.

Accelerate Deal Velocity .... by Driving Success Through Action and Collaboration

10/24/2024

Picture
By Cal Thomas, Sandler Morristown

Let’s talk about a mindset that can quickly accelerate your sales cycle: a bias toward action. An action bias can break down barriers, foster stronger collaboration, and drive measurable increases in deal velocity for every salesperson on the team. This kind of mindset assumes that doing something is better than doing nothing, that taking the initiative is better than waiting for permission or the perfect conditions. We live in an imperfect world, and that means that assuming bias toward action is a key to success in sales—and in our broader professional journey.

Cultivating a Thoughtful & Inclusive Culture During This Political Season

10/24/2024

Picture
By Alwyn Dias, Crothers Consulting
The diversity of perspectives among individuals is what fosters deeper learning and personal growth. Engaging in healthy discussions about differing viewpoints not only enriches our understanding, but also enables us to present a unified front when addressing complex issues within our communities on things such as politics.  It's common for opposing parties to conflate the points of conflict with the character of the individuals involved. This tendency leads us to believe that our differences are reflections of personal character rather than the actual issues at hand. Currently, this seems to be particularly true with respect to support of the different presidential candidates.  We will suggest tips on navigating that within your organization.

But if you’ve ever felt drained, stuck, or caught in the cycle of burnout despite your best efforts, you’re not alone.

9/19/2024

By John Allen Mollenhauer “JAM” CPLC, Founder of Performance Lifestyle® Insights and the Regenus Center
In today’s world, maintaining an optimal state of health feels nearly impossible for most people. We live in a time where the relentless pressures of work, family, and life commitments can make even the idea of thriving seem out of reach. The health and wellness industry often perpetuates this feeling, with influencers and experts—whose job it is to stay healthy—offering advice from environments that completely cater to their needs. Yet, for most of us, who don’t live with that level of support, this advice simply doesn’t work in the real world.

Succession Planning in a Family Business

By Deb Wijnberg, Crothers Consulting
Succession planning is a critical aspect of any business, but it takes on a unique level of importance and complexity in family-owned enterprises. Unlike publicly traded companies where leadership changes may involve professional executives with no emotional ties to the business, the family businesses we work with intertwine personal relationships with professional roles. The process of transitioning leadership requires careful planning, clear communication, and an understanding of both business and family dynamics.

For Sales Professionals - Don’t Put Out the Fire Too Early

Here’s a gut-check question for sales leaders: When salespeople come to you with a problem, is your first instinct to hand them the solution? Is that your default setting: simply putting out whatever fire the rep identifies for you? Because you think doing so will save time?

Or … do you look for ways to create an adult-to-adult conversation that empowers them to find their own solution to whatever issue they’re facing?
