By Performance Lifestyle Coach John Allen Mollenhauer “JAM” Founder of Regenus Center What is Soul Force? Soul force is your Spirit-driven power, powered by life force energy or vital energy. Countless spiritual and philosophical traditions are built on these two layers of being that exist before who and how you are in the world. Your own experience will support them as well, and when you can activate and harness them as one, your life, energy levels, health and performance, and more will never be the same. They will be forever better. As one, soul force represents the energy and inner strength of resilience, determination, and the power to overcome challenges. From a deeper perspective, it is the intelligent, creative energy source of spiritual enlightenment and personal growth.
Soul Force gives rise to who and how you are, but what most of us miss is this is not who you are. It’s what you are. Understanding Your Soul Force Further According to Eric Butterworth, “I am not what I think. I am thinking what I think.” This “I AM” statement suggests that we are not defined by our thoughts but rather by the life and soul force that powers our thoughts and actions. It implies that we are spiritual beings having a human experience, not vice versa. It Goes By Many Names Various names are used to describe soul force. I distinguish between life and soul force because when it comes to our innermost Self or the being we “humans” are, each name brings nuances that can make a big difference in your life and style of living it. Think chi, prana, the Holy Spirit, Unity, the Divine, and unlimited power… all activate energy in different ways, even though they all point to the same source. Brian Johnson, the founder of Heroic Public Benefit Corporation, refers to soul force in his book “Arete” as your Heroic Potential. Once you embrace that potential as your primary identity, you can live in the zone, spirit-driven and in flow like an elite athlete, even if you’re not into sports. Then, with the right mindset and approach, aka Performance Lifestyle, while you/I will still have limits (like I’m never going to dunk a basketball in this life), we can resolve the obstacles to achieving our God-inspired dreams. Living with True Self-Confidence When you start living from your true nature, you start living your true potential, literally, not figuratively, in the right relationship with your body/brain. You start using your head instead of vice versa and experience "True Self"-confidence. In the information age, where change is a constant and only accelerating, you might want to have confidence in the one thing that never changes and consistently delivers the energy and insight we depend on to function and perform well as fully engaged human beings. So, how do you activate your Soul Force? You start by Regenerating Your Life Force Energy because activating the soul of a tired, depleted body is hard. Remember when I said that life force is the foundation of soul force? I said that because you need a lot of activation energy to activate your soul force. For starters, you get proactive about energy recovery and practices such as sleep, rest, recovery, relaxation, meditation, rejuvenation, prayer, and self-reflection… For example: Proactive energy recovery using recovery tech, like photobiomodulation: Proactive energy recovery refers to the intentional and systematic approach of replenishing and restoring one’s energy levels before they become depleted. Do that, and you can, Spiritually awaken a lot faster: This refers to a profound shift in consciousness where an individual experiences a heightened sense of awareness and connection to the universe, their inner self, and others. Eventually, you’ll then… Wake Up to What You Really Are: This is an awakening to your true, energetic nature, which precedes the spirit. This refers to the activation and emergence of your life force energy, which you can then harness and direct. Though it may not happen in that order, ultimately, all three will occur at some point. But having a starting point is good. It’s why we teach all three, starting with the most practical, proactive recovery. Proactive recovery leads to getting grounded in your true nature because, perhaps, you are giving attention to this level of life for the first time in your life. This is when you see higher performance kick into gear. You need a regular and systematic commitment to Regenerating your body/brain to ensure your body/brain has abundant life force energy; if not, old habits, reactivity, and more will take over and limit your potential, ironically, until you regenerate your energy anyway. Because most of us don’t know what energy is, how it operates, and its primary role in our human experience, the way life force energy works is often misinterpreted in the wrong direction by all kinds of theories and other market influences–like stimulants for energy, and that limits your ability to activate your soul force. You’re just too tired. The Soul Force Equation: Time X Energy X Focus X What’s Important Now to the Power of Consistency The equation Time X Energy X Focus X What’s Important Now to the Power of Consistency is a breakthrough in human performance. Brian Johnson, the founder of the Heroic App, emerged and has popularized this equation. It emphasizes the importance of activating your soul force. Once you know how to regenerate your life force energy, that equation will help you activate and harness it. Time, used wisely, with the right level of energy behind it, focused on what’s important now, to the power of consistency activates soul force, which is the essence of living your true potential. I challenge you to consistently resolve everything that gets in the way of regenerating your life force energy and using this equation to activate your soul force. When you, you can’t help but look, feel and perform better than ever before. It will just happen.
