(DDCT) recently announced the launch of its Dentist Support Program to provide its network dentists in New Jersey and Connecticut with much-needed financial relief amounting to $13 million during the COVID-19 pandemic. The program consists of two components – the Support for PPE Supplies Program and the Advance Payment Program (APP).
Florham Park N.J. – August 23, 2020 – A new website allowing employers to post job openings and business profiles, and prospective workers to search for compatible open positions, has been introduced by the Morris County Economic Development Corporation (MCEDC), a division of the Morris County Chamber of Commerce, with support from the Morris County Board of Chosen Freeholders, in coordination with the Morris/Sussex/Warren Workforce Development Board. The website – connecttomorris.com – is intended to be a hyper-local resource where businesses in the community can post job opportunities and a company profile, including a video showing prospective employees why the business is a great place to work, according to Meghan Hunscher, president of the Morris County Chamber of Commerce.
HHS Announces Second Round of High Impact COVID-19 Area Funding
July 24, 2020 - Washington, DC - Representative Mikie Sherrill (NJ-11) announced that three hospitals in NJ-11 will receive $29.75 million in a second round of funding from the Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security (CARES) Act that Congress passed in April. Some of these resources are geared toward employers with more than 500 employees (and thus not covered by the Families First Coronavirus Response Act) and some are geared toward employers with fewer than 500 employees (and thus covered by the law). TRENTON, N.J. (March 31, 2020) – The New Jersey Economic Development Authority (NJEDA) will launch the application for its Small Business Emergency Assistance Grant Program on Friday, April 3, 2020 at 9:00 am. A link to the grant program application will be posted on the State’s COVID-19 Business Information Hub. The grant program is part of a package of initiatives announced last week to support businesses and workers facing economic hardship due to the outbreak of the novel coronavirus COVID-19.
