The organization also will receive $55,000 to support the establishment of a dental assistant training program in north, west and central New Jersey that will educate up to 50 dental assistants, who will provide services to children and seniors. The Foundation for Morristown Medical Center will receive $100,000 for dental supplies, restorative materials, and lab fees for uninsured and underinsured seniors, children, and those with developmental disabilities who are treated at the state-of-the-art Leonard Szerlip Dental Center.

Raffle to benefit Forever Home campaign to house community members with developmental disabilities

This year, the money raised will support the nonprofit organization’s Forever Home campaign, which includes a 12-unit apartment facility for adults with special needs in Morris County. “With more than 8,000 adults with disabilities needing services in New Jersey alone, there is an urgency for special-need housing options,” said Rose House CEO Tom Mitchell. “As people with developmental disabilities age out of school systems, and with their parents growing older, we are dedicated to addressing this pressing issue by providing the care these individuals desperately need.
