With the support of sponsors, donations, and attendees, the event raised over $25,000, benefiting two deserving philanthropic organizations, Big Brothers Big Sisters of Coastal and Northern New Jersey and Children’s Specialized Hospital, a member of the Children’s Miracle Network. PARSIPPANY, N.J. — August 15, 2024 — Delta Dental of New Jersey (DDNJ) has announced that its 34th Annual Golf Classic has raised $133,000 for Special Olympics New Jersey (SONJ).
Delta Dental’s annual golfing event has netted more than $1.83 million over the past 30 years, making it possible for thousands of Special Olympics athletes with intellectual disabilities to pursue their athletic dreams through year-round sports training and competition. This year, almost 90 golfers participated in the event, which was held at the Morris County Golf Club. Lake Hopatcong, N.J. – Bridge Marina held their second annual Christmas in July Food Drive, Saturday July 27th to Sunday July 28th at their marina on Lake Hopatcong. Boat rental guests, Bridge Marina members, and visitors of the marina’s busy fuel dock on Lake Hopatcong were invited to donate a variety of non-perishable food items. With their help, Bridge Marina collected hundreds of food items to support Sparta Community Food Pantry’s efforts in providing resources to local families and individuals in need.

Homeless Solutions provides a Hand UP, not a HandOUT. We empower those who are homeless and at risk of homelessness in Morris County to attain housing stability. In the coldest months of the winter, Homeless Solutions is asking Morris County residents to give up one night of warmth and comfort to raise awareness of the growing needs of the unhoused in our community. Its 4th Annual A Night in the Cold fundraiser is on Friday, December 1st. Funds raised from this event will support the organization’s efforts to provide shelter, services, and stability to those without accommodations especially in the cold winter season. This year’s goal is to raise $250,000.
MORRIS COUNTY, NJ – On Saturday, November 4, Family Promise of Morris County is hosting its third annual Homebound Hustle 5K & 1 Mile Walk. All funds raised through the Homebound Hustle will benefit families and individuals experiencing homelessness and housing insecurity in Morris County. The agency has served this population for over three decades, as homelessness is a persistent issue in the community. “Even before the pandemic, homelessness existed in Morris County. It may not be visible, but it exists,” said Family Promise CEO Joann Bjornson, LSW.
The Atlantic Visiting Nurse Fall Rummage sale returns to Far Hills Fairground on Friday October 6, 2023. Thousands of bargain hunters, collectors and vintage lovers are expected at the event, which takes places twice a year. The rummage sale, a cornerstone event in the community, will feature an impressive selection of gently used items such as clothing, jewelry, home goods, vintage vinyl records and more. MORRIS COUNTY, NJ – 9/29/2022 – On Saturday, November 5, Family Promise of Morris County is hosting its second annual Homebound Hustle 5K & 1 Mile Walk. All proceeds raised through the Homebound Hustle will benefit programs and services that support families and individuals experiencing homelessness and housing insecurity in Morris County. This year’s event has been named in honor of the late Stephen W. Hammond, a long-time advocate of helping people in need within the Morris County community. Steve Hammond was Morris County’s longtime Director of Public Works and County Engineer and later served on the Board of Family Promise of Morris County, including as its president.
