The Mimi Washington Starrett Foundation is proud to announce the inaugural grant cycle! Grant applications will be accepted soon! (March 1, 2022 – April 15, 2022) The Mimi Washington Starrett Foundation’s mission is to provide grants to nonprofit organizations that have a meaningful impact on the well-being and economic development of the greater community, including those that address issues surrounding health, addiction, and homelessness; animal welfare; equal education opportunities; access to the arts; and environmental and historical preservation.
MORRIS COUNTY, NJ – 2/15/2022 – On Thursday, February 24, Family Promise of Morris County (FPMC) is hosting An Evening of Comedy, a virtual standup comedy night to benefit families and individuals experiencing homelessness and housing insecurity. Comedian and author Leighann Lord will headline the evening; she is most notably known for her work in Showtime’s Even More Funny Women of a Certain Age and Dry Bar Comedy. Another featured comedian is Mike Morse, who spent eight years writing and opening for Lisa Lampanelli. The host for the evening is standup comic Terry-Ann Zander. This seasoned lineup is sure to spread laughs all around.
