Local Businesses and Companies Encouraged to Participate MORRISTOWN, NJ — May 15, 2024— Big Brothers Big Sisters of Coastal & Northern New Jersey (BBBSCNNJ) is excited to announce its upcoming Day of Giving on July 18, 2024. The day provides an opportunity for the community to get involved with supporting the life-changing impact of one-to-one mentoring for young people. BBBSCNNJ is calling on local businesses to participate in this special event by donating a portion of the day’s sales, setting up a donation at checkout option, collecting change, or any way that fits a business’ operations. Together, BBBSCNNJ and participating businesses will strengthen connections, raise awareness, and generate vital funds to match more children with a Big Brother or Big Sister of their own.
The mentoring programs provided by BBBSCNNJ are proven to be a catalyst for positive change in the lives of children and teens. Through the power of mentorship, volunteer mentors make a lasting difference, one child at a time. By participating in BBBSCNNJ’s Day of Giving, individuals and companies alike can contribute to the organization’s transformative mission. “We believe in the power of mentorship to shape the future for our youth,” says William Salcedo, Executive Director of BBBSCNNJ. “Our Day of Giving is an opportunity for everyone to get involved and make a meaningful difference in the lives of children in our community.” Participating companies will receive prominent recognition in all marketing efforts leading up to and on the Day of Giving, July 18th. This is an opportunity for businesses to highlight their commitment to social responsibility and community engagement. Current Day of Giving partners include Ridgedale Federal Credit Union and Makana’s.
