Where: Washington’s Headquarters Museum, 30 Washington Place, Morristown When: Thursday, May 23 from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. “Defying gravity!” That’s how Impact100 Garden State, an all-women, all-volunteer organization for collective giving describes its record high of 408 members for 2024. The impressive number, which was announced at a joyful celebration at Frelinghuysen Arboretum in Morristown on March 7, is a significant increase from 2023’s 375 members. The 408 total includes 97 new members and an 83% member renewal rate. “We’re thrilled with our 2024 membership total of 408 members, because it means that we can grant four $100,000 grants at our Annual Awards meeting in 2024,” says Debby Seme, Impact100 Garden State president.

MORRISTOWN, NJ, November 14, 2023 – Preschool Advantage, a Morristown-based non-profit organization, held its 2023 annual Turning Leaves benefit dinner at Brooklake Country Club in Florham Park on October 18th. The event drew a sell-out crowd of 225 guests. Proceeds from the evening will fund preschool tuition for 35 local students next year. In addition to being the organization’s largest annual fundraiser, Turning Leaves is also an opportunity to honor those individuals, and organizations who have made transformative contributions to Preschool Advantage.
Homeless Solutions provides a Hand UP, not a HandOUT. We empower those who are homeless and at risk of homelessness in Morris County to attain housing stability. In the coldest months of the winter, Homeless Solutions is asking Morris County residents to give up one night of warmth and comfort to raise awareness of the growing needs of the unhoused in our community. Its 4th Annual A Night in the Cold fundraiser is on Friday, December 1st. Funds raised from this event will support the organization’s efforts to provide shelter, services, and stability to those without accommodations especially in the cold winter season. This year’s goal is to raise $250,000.

MORRIS COUNTY, NJ – On Saturday, November 4, Family Promise of Morris County is hosting its third annual Homebound Hustle 5K & 1 Mile Walk. All funds raised through the Homebound Hustle will benefit families and individuals experiencing homelessness and housing insecurity in Morris County. The agency has served this population for over three decades, as homelessness is a persistent issue in the community. “Even before the pandemic, homelessness existed in Morris County. It may not be visible, but it exists,” said Family Promise CEO Joann Bjornson, LSW.
The Atlantic Visiting Nurse Fall Rummage sale returns to Far Hills Fairground on Friday October 6, 2023. Thousands of bargain hunters, collectors and vintage lovers are expected at the event, which takes places twice a year. The rummage sale, a cornerstone event in the community, will feature an impressive selection of gently used items such as clothing, jewelry, home goods, vintage vinyl records and more. All proceeds from the sale will go directly to supporting Atlantic Visiting Nurse to provide home health and hospice care for uninsured and underinsured patients.
MORRIS PLAINS, N.J. – ArcMorris is now accepting registration and sponsorships for the grand return in October of its golf outing fundraiser in support of people with developmental disabilities and their families.
