New Jersey Elder Law Center at Goldberg Law Group Reopening!

The More Things Change The More They Stay The Same...
I am so pleased to announce that as of August 1, I have resigned as a shareholder of Mandelbaum Salsburg in order to reopen New Jersey Elder Law Center at Goldberg Law Group. We are once again the independent boutique firm that serviced our clients with pride and respect for nearly a decade!  ​I’m also proud to say, when our team members were given the choice, they all chose to return to our Goldberg Law Group family! I can’t begin to convey the excitement and passion!

As many of you know, on April 1, 2019, I joined the much larger firm of Mandelbaum Salsburg. The decision was based on our desire to offer more services to our clients than our boutique firm could provide. However, it became apparent early on in my tenure at Mandelbaum that we could have achieved our goal merely by becoming “Of Counsel”, a designation that allows an attorney to share business without giving up autonomy. So, now I am “Of Counsel” to Mandelbaum Salsburg.

Let’s talk about PASSION.

When Clelia and I started the firm in 2011, we combined her passion for caregiving and her ability to build efficient systems with my enthusiasm for helping others and my love for elder law and estate planning. While Mandelbaum is an incredible firm in so many respects, we realize now that large firms don’t lend themselves to the personalized attention and hand-holding required by the typical elder law and estate planning client. One cannot always convert passion and patience into a billable hour.

Looking back on our decision, our team has no regrets. The year and half at Mandelbaum taught us so much. We learned about other areas of practice, firm politics, team building, dealing with adversity, but most important, we gained a greater understanding of ourselves. Goldberg Law Group is back and better than ever! Experiences allow us the benefit of taking the good and disposing of the bad. What works is enhanced. What doesn’t work is abandoned. Every experience is an education - and for that we are grateful.

Many years ago, a colleague said to me about a senior member of management who refused to embrace new ideas, “He doesn’t have 25 years of experience. He has one experience for 25 years.” Since that moment, I have strived to share my multiple experiences with our team and our clients. It appears the Goldberg team just added yet another experience to strengthen our roster of services. We can’t wait to share it with you.
