The Morristown resident and real estate agent stays home and walks downstairs into her "command center" — or bunker, as she sometimes calls it — to conduct her work in a room without windows. Allen's clients worry about the daunting processes of buying or selling a home. And she'll tell them to pause and attack things one step at a time. The mindset carries over from her historic accomplishment 40 years ago. In 1981, Allen became the first Black woman to win a significant pro-tennis tournament since Althea Gibson in 1958. Crosby, vice president for student affairs at Alabama A&M University (AAMU), North Huntsville, has been unanimously selected by the Saint Elizabeth University (SEU) Board of Trustees to serve as the institution’s eighth president.

Delta Dental of New Jersey Reinforces Commitment to Giving Back to Communities During COVID-192/22/2021
PARSIPPANY, NJ—Delta Dental of New Jersey, Inc. did not let the challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic prevent them from giving back to their communities and engaging in several activities that demonstrate goodwill and boost morale. As in-person events became virtual, DDNJ sponsored nine of the New Jersey Symphony Orchestra’s (classical) Couch Concerts and held its annual Community Impact Week in September. Associates had numerous opportunities to participate in virtual events and activities benefitting Wheeler Clinic, RAIN Foundation Shelter, Children’s Specialized Hospital, Zufall Health Veterans Program, and Rise Against Hunger. More than half of DDNJ’s associates volunteered with more than 20 agencies during Community Impact Week.
The Leadership Morris Class of 2020, on hold since March, will resume their Covid-stalled journey on February 26th. The class will meet virtually for 10 monthly sessions covering the major venues and content of the originally designed program. Under the leadership of Dr. Joe Nazzaro, program participants will meet the key personalities and leaders of Morris County’s major institutions. Nazzaro explained that the sessions will include presentations and interaction with the key leaders of the venue being explored.
