Morris County Tourism Bureau Issues RFP for Lodging and Hotel Market Assessment & Feasibility Study7/2/2025
MORRISTOWN, NJ (June 26, 2025) — The Morris County Tourism Bureau, d/b/a the Morris County Economic Development Alliance, has officially released a Request for Proposals (RFP) for a comprehensive Lodging and Hotel Market Assessment and Feasibility Analysis. The study is intended to evaluate the current and future state of the lodging sector in Morris County, providing critical data to support strategic planning, investment attraction, and tourism development. As Morris County experiences increased interest from visitors, developers, and investors, this study will play a pivotal role in shaping how the region responds to future demand. The selected firm will be tasked with analyzing lodging inventory, occupancy trends, visitor profiles, competitive benchmarks, and economic indicators—ultimately offering clear recommendations for future hotel development, including ideal types, locations, and pricing strategies.
The scope of the project also includes stakeholder engagement with local hoteliers, economic development professionals, and event planners. The final deliverables will include a written report, presentation of findings, and access to the data and models used. Proposals are due by July 18, 2025, with the award announcement expected on August 5, 2025. The project is expected to be completed by November 21, 2025, and has a budget not to exceed $35,000. This initiative aligns with the Tourism Bureau’s mission to promote Morris County as a premier destination and support the growth of its hospitality infrastructure. The final report will guide public and private sector stakeholders in making informed, data-driven decisions that enhance the county’s appeal to both leisure and business travelers.
