PARSIPPANY, N.J. — July 26, 2021 — Eighty-eight golfers hit the course at the Essex Fells Country Club on May 14 to participate in Delta Dental of New Jersey (DDNJ)’s 31st Annual Golf Classic, raising more than $82,000 for Special Olympics New Jersey (SONJ). This was the first large-scale in-person event DDNJ held since New Jersey began lifting its COVID-19 restrictions this spring. ​

Jen Mannino’s seven-year journey from Marketing Coordinator to LAN Associates Assistant Vice President in charge of marketing was center stage on June 24th when SMPS New York honored her with their Marketer of the Year Award. The award was presented to Jen at the 2021 Annual Meeting and Liberty Ball, a ceremony hosted by the New York chapter of the AEC industry focused Society for Marketing Professional Services (SMPS).   This award salutes a marketer’s achievement, leadership, and significant contributions to their firm’s marketing success during the past year.

​In 2018, Governor Murphy signed into law the landmark legislation known as the Clean Energy Act. The law called for a significant overhaul of New Jersey’s clean energy systems by building sustainable infrastructure in order to fight climate change and reduce carbon emissions, which will in turn create well-paying local jobs, grow the state’s economy, and improve public health while ensuring a cleaner environment for current and future residents. As part of this statewide undertaking, the Clean Energy Act required New Jersey’s investor-owned gas and electric utility companies to reduce their customers’ use of gas and electricity by set percentages over time. To help reach these targets, the New Jersey Board of Public Utilities approved a comprehensive suite of efficiency programs that would transition the state to some of the highest energy savings in the country.

​Morristown, NJ, June 15, 2021 --- Cornerstone Family Programs altered how to plan their annual spring gala and hosted A Gala in Your Garden on June 12, 2021.
 
The event raised well over $200k from sponsorships, ads, donations, and a virtual auction. This innovative Virtual Event replaced a typical 350-400 in-person Gala that was supposed to take place in April. Proceeds from the event will support children’s programs at Morristown Neighborhood House, our Adult Day Center and Operation Sisterhood.

Leadership Morris has restarted after nearly a year of suspension due to COVID-19. The Class of ’20 started activities in February 2020 but the program was suspended when COVID hit and all in-person activities were put on hold. The Class of 2021 started with 32 participants. Ten deferred to join the 2022 program but the rest opted for the virtual experience.

Morris County was ranked as the healthiest county in New Jersey by the national organization countyhealthrankings.org — but the group stresses that the findings are from 2019 and thus had no data associated with the COVID-19 pandemic. That data will be present for the first time when next year’s rankings are released.  The rankings, now in their 10th year, attempt to measure not only the length of life — but the quality of it.

​CHICAGO – April 13, 2021 – United Airlines continues to lead the industry towards a more sustainable future with the launch of the first-of-its-kind Eco-Skies Alliance SM program. Working with the airline, more than a dozen leading global corporations will collectively contribute towards the purchase of approximately 3.4 million gallons of sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) this year. With its nearly 80% emissions reductions on a lifecycle basis compared to conventional jet fuel, this is enough SAF to eliminate approximately 31,000 metric tons of greenhouse gas emissions, or enough to fly passengers over 220 million miles.
