Signature Events & Programs Annual Meeting This is our largest and most highly attended event of the year. Each year we welcome a high-profile guest speaker to address over 600 attendees. Recent former speakers have included Former Florida Governor Jeb Bush, Stephen Moore, member of the Wall Street Journal Editorial Board, Former Arkansas Governor Mike Huckabee, Richard Codey, former NJ Senate President and Jay Cross, President of the New York Jets. Annual Golf Classic Held each spring, this all-day event gives attendees the opportunity to enjoy a round of golf and networking at one of Morris County’s beautiful golf courses. The event continues in the evening for players and non-golfers alike with a cocktail hour and dinner reception. Business Connections Business Connections is a structured networking event held on the third Friday of each month. This event provides participants with the opportunity to gain exposure in a structured networking environment. Attendees have the opportunity to introduce themselves to over 150 participants and present a brief commercial about their business in a group breakout session. Click here to watch a video detailing this event!Video Library Economic Outlook / Leaders in Business Awards Luncheon Held each fall, this event is the area’s most comprehensive economic forecast for New Jersey. Featured keynote speakers discuss specific trends for the U.S., New Jersey and Morris County as well as cover relevant international conditions. In addition, awards are presented to honor individuals from the area business community who have demonstrated exceptional leadership and managerial talent. Educational and Professional Development Seminars and Workshops Our seminars and workshops held throughout the year are centered on education and professional development and include these recurring seminars: Networking for the Bottom Line, Crafting Your Two Minute Introduction, Maximize Your Membership and The Art of Public Speaking. Leadership Morris Leadership Morris is a highly regarded community education program of the Morris County Chamber of Commerce. The Program teaches business professionals and not-for-profit executives about the opportunities, challenges, institutions and the people of Morris County. Learn more. Legislative Luncheon Presented in conjunction with the Government Affairs Committee, this well-attended annual breakfast or lunch features a panel of speakers from the Morris County Legislature and other prominent state political officials. Recent panelists have included Senator Steve Sweeney, Senator Tom Kean, Jr., and Assemblyman Joseph Cryan. More Than Lunch More Than Lunch is our mid-day networking event where members have the opportunity to make new connections, collaborate on new ventures and create lasting business relationships. It begins with open networking, a buffet lunch and sponsor recognition. A structured table networking exercise follows with the opportunity to introduce yourself and answer questions about your business. Morris in the Evening Each Morris in the Evening event is hosted at the facilities of one of our members and provides a fun, laid-back and interactive after-work networking opportunity. Previous events have included glassmaking at Glassworks Studio of Morristown, team building game show events at Powerhouse Studios in East Hanover, a musical performance at The Community Theatre at the Mayo Center for the Performing Arts and a collaboration with the Somerset County Business Partnership at the Dolce Hotel. Not-For-Profit Conference Held annually, the goal of the Not For Profit Conference is to provide information, education and new strategies that leaders in the nonprofit community can integrate to propel their organizations forward. Women in Business Women in Business events are presented in either a breakfast or lunch format several times per year, and typically welcome over 125 male and female attendees. Each event strives to provide quality speakers and presenters who share their knowledge and skills on how to motivate and lead, as well as deal with professional issues and challenges. Ask the Expert Ask The Expert is a service developed by the Women in Business Committee members to accelerate the success of members in the Morris County Chamber of Commerce by fostering a culture of information sharing in which they can leverage the knowledge, expertise and experiences of their peers. Learn more. Women in Golf Our Women in Golf program allows our female members to learn the game of golf. Whether you are a beginner or have been golfing for years, we have a variety of events and clinics that will give you the confidence to get out on the course. Young Professionals Networking Events The Young Professionals Forum hosts two networking events per year that are open to all Chamber members. These interactive events take place in the evening and are geared toward those looking to build business relationships in a more relaxed, after hours setting. |
