Dear Chamber Members:
We are excited to announce that in June we will be launching “Business Matters,” a monthly newspaper that will have four areas of focus:
News – “Business Matters” will include topical news stories that will inform our members about developments in business, government and current affairs that are impacting the business community in Morris County and beyond while also educating members about strategies and tools they can implement to improve their businesses. This information will be contemporary, relevant to the economy we live in, informative and actionable. The focus will be on real events and developments, including business challenges and how to meet them.
Information – The newspaper will include regular columns and features that will provide an opportunity for us to share information across our membership about Chamber programs and partnerships with elected officials and the non-profit community. We will include updates on major initiatives in the public policy arena and how the business community is potentially impacted. We will also focus on our training and development agenda and key programs such as Leadership Morris.
Member Visibility – Our members will have various opportunities to increase their visibility through “Business Matters.” They will be able to promote their brand through advertising; they will be tapped as expert sources for many of our news stories; and we will include feature stories and profiles on Chamber members who are bringing new solutions and technologies to their customers, implementing creative strategies, and positioning themselves as successful companies in their markets.
Growth and Opportunities – Finally, we will share information on economic development in the County. Who’s moving in and expanding? What are we doing to keep and grow jobs in Morris County?
Our goal is for our members to consider “Business Matters” as a “must read” every month. It will make our Chamber more effective, lead to a more cohesive membership and provide our organization with a bigger footprint across Morris County.
Toward that end, we have secured a seasoned newspaper editor for the publication, Christopher Reardon of Reardon Communications Group. I am sure you will be seeing more of Chris in the coming months as he becomes better acquainted with the Chamber and as he and his reporters reach out to members. If you have news about your business or ideas for news stories or features, please feel free to share these with Chris at chris@reardoncommunications.com.
We look forward to working with you to make this effort a success. I know that our members have valuable information to share with others that will ultimately make the business community a stronger force for growth and prosperity in the years ahead.
With best regards,
Paul Boudreau
President
Morris County Chamber of Commerce
