Annual Meeting
Each January, the Chamber hosts one of its most exciting events where attendees will learn about the activities Chamber is presently undertaking to help businesses succeed, as well as hear from prominent business leaders on relevant business topics. More than 500 business and community leaders and government officials attend this luncheon each year. The 2008 Annual Meeting hosted keynote speaker, Richard Codey, President of the NJ Senate. In 2007, the keynote speaker was Jay Cross, President of the New York Jets.
Annual Golf Classic
Traditionally hosted on the grounds of the beautiful Spring Brook Country Club in Morristown each May, this annual all-day event affords attendees the opportunity to enjoy a day of golf followed by an evening of cocktails and dining in a lovely setting. Non-players also register for the evening portion of this event. In 2007, the dinner was emceed by Bob Wischusen of MSG Sports.
Breakfast with Goliath
Introduce your business to the key leaders and purchasing decision-makers of some of the largest organizations in Morris County!
Presented by the Business Development Committee, this program provides a level of exposure to the business community that would otherwise take days, weeks and months through traditional marketing approaches. In focused roundtable setting, participants are provided with one-on-one time to interview major corporate representatives and describe business offerings, professional services, and value propositions while learning about mutually beneficial short-term and long-term opportunities.
Past participating Goliaths have included: AAA New Jersey Automobile Club, Atlantic Health, Cadbury Schweppes, County of Morris, Hilton Parsippany Hotel, New Jersey Natural Gas, Novartis Pharmaceuticals, Pfizer, Picatinny Arsenal, Saint Clare’s Health System, The Star-Ledger, Solix, Inc., Verizon-NJ.

Economic Outlook/Business Development Awards Luncheon
Held in October or November, this event is the area's most comprehensive economic forecast for New Jersey. Featured speakers discuss specific trends for the U.S., New Jersey and Morris County as well as cover relevant international conditions.
In addition, awards are presented to honor individuals from the area business community who have demonstrated exceptional leadership and managerial talent.
The event attracts more than 300 financial and corporate leaders, area business owners, as well as community and government officials.
To nominate a member for one of the Business Development Awards at the 2008 Luncheon, complete and submit the nomination form before August 1, 2008.
Experience Morris in the Evening: Arts, Culture, Entertainment
A fun and interactive after-work networking opportunity, each Experience Morris in the Evening event is hosted at the facilities of one of our members.
The event offers attendees the opportunity to experience the inner workings of various member companies at each of the year's four networking events. Previous events have included glassmaking at Glassworks Studio of Morristown, and team building game show events at Powerhouse Studios in East Hanover.

Good Morning, Morris!
This highly successful breakfast meeting attracts a diverse group of over 100 business professionals and community leaders. Held at a Morris County venue, this event features a high-profile guest speaker, a sit-down breakfast and networking. A non-profit company's activities are highlighted at each event and breakfast is set to a live musical performance from performers such as the "It's Not Your Mother's Chamber Music" band and the Colonial Symphony.
Recent guest speakers have included Executive Editor of the Daily Record, James Flachsenhaar; Congressman Rodney Frelinghuysen; Robert Weisbuch, President of Drew University; Bart Oates, formerly of the New York Jets; Nancy McKinley, Station Manager for WDHA & WMTR; and Jamie Campaglio, General Manager of the Trump National Golf Club, speaking on being a real life apprentice to Donald Trump.
In 2008, four Good Morning, Morris! events will be hosted by the Park Avenue Club. Contact our Events Department if you know a high-profile speaker interested in speaking at a future event.
Business Connections (formerly Leads Exchange)
Produced by the Chamber and its Business Development Committee, Business Connections is a monthly networking event for members only which provides members with the opportunity to gain exposure in a structured networking environment.
Participants present a brief commercial about their business in which business offerings, professional services and value propositions are described to the group. Detailed discussion in a small group breakout session follows. Open networking is available both before and after the event and continental breakfast is provided.
Every August is an Aloha theme where attendees are encouraged to dress their Hawaiian best!

Legislative Breakfast
Presented in conjunction with the Government Affairs Committee, this well-attended annual breakfast meeting is typically held in February or March and features a panel of speakers from the Morris County legislature and other prominent community members. Recent topics have covered the Highlands Act, NJ State Budget, and legislation aimed at attracting business to the county and state.
Preparedness Conference
A joint venture of the Morris County Prosecutor’s Office and the Morris County Chamber of Commerce with the objective of facilitating “Community Preparedness” in the event of natural or man-made disaster, this significant event creates awareness of the counter-terrorism and preparedness efforts of the state, county and local government as well as the professional preparedness services offered by the business community.
Past demonstrations have included the Bomb Robot from the Bomb Squad of the Morris County Sheriff’s Office, a search & rescue dog from the Ramapo Rescue Dog Association, tours of the Mobile Command Center RV and Decontamination Shower used by the Morris County Office of Emergency Management and Haz Mat Truck from the Department of Law and Public Safety.
Guest speakers have included Richard L. Cañas, the Director of NJ Homeland Security & Preparedness, the Morris County Prosecutor, and leadership representatives from NJ State Police and the NJ Department of Environmental Protection as well as a meteorologist reporting on weather pattern changes.
Seminar Series
Each year, a themed series of seminars are presented which are both interactive and informative in nature. In 2008, the Business Development Committee presents the Building Business Skills seminar series. The series of four events includes Goal Setting, Marketing Made Easy, Time Management, and Managing Your Taxes & Year-End Financials.

Women in Business
A dynamic network dedicated to further the advancement of women and empower them in their professional and personal lives. This initiative encompasses interactive events geared to engage women and provide quality speakers and presenters, sharing knowledge and skills on how to motivate and lead, as well as deal with workplace issues and challenges. Five events are offered in 2008 (view the Season Ticket flyer for topics and event dates. Season Tickets are available up until the first event).
