Leadership Morris

Founded in 1991, Leadership Morris is a highly regarded community education and leadership development program of the Morris County Chamber of Commerce.  Designed for recognized business and community leaders and those professionals identified for future leadership responsibilities, this program focuses on the opportunities, challenges, institutions and the people of Morris County.

Leadership Morris is an ideal development program for business executives and leaders new to the area.  They benefit from an instant “in” to who’s who and what’s what in the community. It brings together individuals of diverse backgrounds and experiences who have demonstrated leadership ability.  By being involved in the program, these individuals have an unprecedented opportunity to learn more about the challenges facing Morris County today.

Leadership Morris, under the direction of Dr. Joseph Nazzaro, offers participants a unique and exciting opportunity. The program begins with a retreat, during which participants start the process of team building.  Once a month, from February to November, they attend daylong field trips with seminars on carefully selected, high-priority topics, such as: Economic Development, Criminal Justice, Education, Human Needs & Services, Environment, Media Relations, County Government, State Government and Health Care.  The seminars include lectures, panel discussions and small study groups.  The program concludes with a Graduation Dinner in November.
