MCEDC provides comprehensive market and demographic data that can help businesses make informed decisions. This includes data on population, labor and employment trends, commercial real estate, corporate activity, housing, taxes, infrastructure, and education.
Business Assistance
Provide an objective, confidential, and free service of identifying possible real estate locations in the county for new or expanding commercial businesses which makes site selection more efficient and tailored to the requirements of specific businesses.
MCEDC coordinates the delivery of business assistance programs and services, provided by the county, state, and area utilities. These program and services include technical assistance for new businesses or manufacturers, job training grants, recruitment services, financing, grants for the creation of new jobs, and rebates for investing in energy efficient equipment.
As the leading advocate for Morris County businesses, MCEDC provides guidance and assistance when problems arise. Small and medium sized businesses do not have the resources or the time to find their way through the maze of government agencies. MCEDC can serve as the liaison and make the appropriate connections or help to cut through the red tape.
Business Visitation & Contact Program
It is significantly less expensive and easier to retain businesses and jobs than attract new employers. Assisting existing businesses expand and prosper is essential in raising overall economic vitality of the county and its municipalities. This program allows for MCEDC and municipal governments to better understand the value of the company to the community, its satisfaction levels, growth potential, and the potential risk of the firm leaving or downsizing.
Community Network Marketing Program
This program helps to exponentially expand MCEDC’s attraction efforts by utilizing the resources of the entire community in marketing the area to other business people and investors. This is achieved by the distribution of our Community Network Brochure through established networks of local businesses, residents, organizations, and associations. They become the channels used to reach decision-makers at companies outside the county. The local contact becomes an integral part of an organized process to market the community.
